COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Wismann’s Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in great health. We have missed you all so much. Our team is happy to inform you that starting Monday, May 4th, we will be restarting regular services and business hours! Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we look forward to seeing all our patients’ smiling faces and restarting our new normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to the safety of our patients and staff.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current, adhere to each agency’s recommendations, and keeps patients and staff safe and comfortable.

In order to adhere to the new guidelines, our office has implemented some changes. When you come in for your next appointment, you will see some of these changes. For example:

-Like other healthcare providers, our office will be asking some screening questions prior to your appointment, and you will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

-Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk and we ask that you please use it when you enter the office.

-Patients will be required to wear a mask while they are waiting to be seen. If you do not have one, you may either wait in your car or wait in the hallway and our staff will call you when it is time for your appointment.

- Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys, etc. as those items are difficult to disinfect.

-Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

-All areas in our office will be clean and disinfected frequently, including door handles, chairs, counters, and bathrooms.

We look forward to seeing you again and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, and our staff safe in our practice. To schedule an appointment, please call our office at (623) 566-6478.

Thank you for being our patient and for your patience during these ever-changing and challenging times. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Wismann and Team
